Emma Blau is a trombonist born and raised in New York. She graduated from Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music where she studied under Vincent Gardener and Tom Garling. In May 2022, Emma established her own band, Tromblau&Friends, and began playing her original compositions in a style she describes as “Modern Hard Bop”. She has performed in Birdland and Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola in New York and Oliver’s Jazz Bar in London, among many other venues. Emma is currently based in Chicago.
