Keefe Jackson and Josh Berman, both from Chicago and fixtures on the city's vibrant free jazz scene, have developed an unmistakable interplay based on blind trust through their many years of collaboration. Their compositions are based on strong melodic themes and open forms that constantly challenge the entire group to take different and often unpredictable paths.
