John Bellows (San Juan Island, WA) - Genius little brother antifolk with all the hooks

John Bellows is a singer-songwriter and home recorder from small town Kentucky who cut his teeth for 13 years in the Chicago D.I.Y. scene.  He has chilled out a lot since moving to rural Washington where he teaches middle and high school music.  But he is still processing, with great intensity, the world inside him and all around him.  John will be travelling with copies of his new album Certain Demise this summer, which earnestly pays homage to the beautiful shit show that is the human race.

Secular Pets (Murray, KY) - Gentle soul with sparklesSecular Pets is the project of Murray, Kentucky’s Tim Peyton. A longtime, organizing musical stalwart of the sleepy town’s sound scene and co-owner of the local record store, Terrapin Station, Peyton has spent the last 15+ years playing in a variety of punk bands with his sweet, dumb friends, while keeping things extra thoughtful all along on the side with Secular Pets. Peyton has recently taken the project out of the shadows of the bedroom and into the studio light, culminating in a lush, colorful LP, produced by renowned songwriter S.G. Goodman, while keeping the “bedroom integrity” intact, due out later this year on Slough Water Records.
